California State Parks Foundation is an independent member-supported nonprofit that mobilizes a diverse network of Californians to be active champions for our state parks. Working with Mission Minded we refreshed their brand identity with a bold, powerful and modern approach that more closely reflects their brand values and personality while retaining the 50-year legacy. Every detail of the identity and collateral was considered, from the forward facing quail (California's state bird) that's breaking free from the circle surrounding it, to the angle of the new tagline, the bold colors of the Golden State, and the approachable yet commanding typography. All elements clearly present California State Parks Foundation as actively future-forward, with a proud legacy of mobilizing Californians with the tools, skills and resources to be passionate advocates for California’s state parks.
